Mutley is the bravest pup.

We have only let the puppies out into the snow a couple of times for a few minutes and while they loved it we carried them out from our conservatory as the step is quite high. As some of them were going to new homes today I decided to l them have a run on the grass for the first time.

They were all stood by the open door looking into the garden trying to get the courage to go down the step. Yep....... Mutley was the first almost no hesitation, followed quickly by Zebra who is usually the first, then Harlequin............... the two boys were wimps really hesitating about going down the step. Then Harley Fat boy did it............ only Brownboy left to go!!

I really had to resist the temptation to pick him up and yes eventually he did it. They absolutely loved it out there and when it was time to go back in who was first up the step.......... Mutley. She really has some life in her.

Its actually a bit unfair that she has not gone to a new home yet because she was she was actually the first pup to be picked by someone who unfortunately had to back out, but it doesn't matter as we are happy to keep her.

Then of course I was in trouble again for letting them get a bit muddy, but of course I pleaded guilty took my punishment of being tongue lashed .............. and did it again!!

Sad and Happy time

Well, two of the puppies have gone to their new homes today, its sad for us to see them go but we are happy because they have gone to great families where we know they will be loved and well looked after. We have offered to look after the pups when their new owners go on holiday so we should get to see them again, and hope to see Harlequin in the show ring soon.

International Viewers

Hi to our American, Chinese, Japanese, Canadian, Australian,Croatian, Dutch, Slovenian,Russian,French, German, Irish and Singapore viewers.

Actually we have decided that if we can't find a home for Mutley in the UK we will probably let one of our friends have her in China. We will go there for a month in January but she could not emigrate until she was at least 6 months.

Socialising the Pups

We have been letting the pups into our lounge more frequently to socialise them. They are all doing well, no messy mistakes yet!!

Its lovely to see their tails wagging when they are on your lap, we are still working on getting them not to nibble at us, the message will sink in eventually.

I just fed them and they had a really mad half an hour playing ragger with an old tea cloth, thank God its calm now.

Spot Brown Boy

Harlequin and Mutley don't change their position.

Hmmmmm, who's that sleeping in the background???

Ooooh! That's Harley on the left, so where's Brownboy?

Pussycat has a new name.

It looks like we will be keeping Pussycat, so we have given him a new name Harley Fat Boy.

For those of you not into motorbikes this is a type of Harley Davidson. I have just bought a new (to me) Harley, not a Fat Boy as they cost too much, a Sportster xl 1200 custom. I would have liked a fat boy though, but I guess now I have one but he has four legs rather than two wheels.

Now the question is should we rename Brown by to Sporster, he is an athletic type????? No, I don't think so.

THE TERRIBLE TWINS

Mutley and Zebra the terrible twins share the bed while the others look on from outside.

Maisy obviously thought their left over food was tasty.

New Homes

Well it looks like our pups will be spread all over the country. One will be going to a lovely home in Manchester, one will spend her time in the showing and will have lots of doggy friends in Somerset, another will stay in Coventry with a four boys' family and huge size of garden. We are considering keeping one but may decide to show him, we would let him go to someone who would like to show dogs.

So we have a little girl who is still looking for new home.

Why Brown Boy is called Happy Tail

Brown Boy is officially the friendliest little puppy I have ever seen and so laid back too. We moved the pups into a larger room yesterday to give them more room to run around. The reaction of the different pups was interesting

Zebra toook to the new room straight away and just started exploring. She has always been quick off the mark and very confident.

Harlequin and Mutley had a very similar reaction and very quickly started to explore.

Pussycat found a corner and observed what was going on and was far more carefull.

Brownboy just went to sleep......... like I said laid back.

Tonight I have given each of them a cuddle on my lap. While they have all been cuddled this is the first time I have sat them on my knee for more than a few minutes.

Pussycat was the first, he was very calm and just laid on my knees for several minutes enjoying being stroked. Slowley he started to sniff about but was very calm throughout.

Zebra was he usual self calm and confident, as were the other girls Harlequin and Mutly.

Brownboy on the other hand was by far the happiest. His tail was spinning like a propellor just like his dad's does. Thats why Jenny named him happy tail, he is always happy and obviously loves human contact.

Don't get me wrong they all love human contact, you just have to go into their room and you are surrounded in seconds by wagging tails........ but you think Brownboy is going to take off with his pusher prop of a tail.

Another interesting thing is that whenever people first see the pups everyone thinks Mutley is the most pretty........... she is a cute little girl and very lively. with lots of confidence.

Its easy to fall in love with all of them, we will be sad to see them go when they move to new homes.

Happy, happy happy.

Having had the puppies looked over by people from the showing world we are very happy with what we have been told, it seems we have been very lucky with our litter. While most people are not at all interested in showing it is nice to know that your pet comes comes from a good show line. Its also nice to know that a brother or sister of your pet is being shown, so if any of our pups do well in this world we will let the family members owners know.

As I said happy happy happy!!

How they grow!!

Sometimes I think you can actually see them growing!! Several of them are more than 10 times their original body weight now. They have been on solid food for over a week and now their play periods are much longer.

Puppy availability

We are now allowing people to come and view the puppies as they are starting to show their spots, which means we will have a good idea how they will look when they are fully grown.

They are all lovely pups but after this weekend some of them will have found new owners so now is the time to get in contact and arrange to view. They will not be ready to go to their new homes untill 31/12, and we will want to make sure that they are going to good homes and will get plenty of exercise in a loving home.
